TREY HASLEDEN

β€œIn January, I got the opportunity to travel to Israel with my dad. As we travelled through the ancient Promised Land, I was struck by how the architecture and landscapes both persevere and decay. Things that were built with the intentions of standing forever now stand in ephemeral ruins. Beauty is tainted with the plague of time. A once perfect mosaic, now broken and covered in dust.

But, what else struck me was the promises of Isaiah 61 that God Himself will come to redeem and restore the ruins of my heart. He will bind up the brokenhearted and will set the captives free. What was once beautiful, but then was broken and tainted by sin, will be made perfect and beautiful again.”
