The most recent collection of volumes, Volumes 90-99 represent the last ten years of work. Covers are recognizable, as Ivy Leaves has earned its place in Anderson University history.
Volumes 80-89 explore the concept of art and how it is expressed, striving to make the voices of publication contributors heard. Layouts and designs are experimental, mirroring the cultural evolution of the era.
Volumes 70-79 showcase the transition into a digital landscape. Unexpected, mixed media elements echo the emotions and intentions behind editors and journalists.
Volumes 60-69 created an experiential way of reading Ivy Leaves. The recognizable title pairs with leaves and vines, as each edition compliments its namesake.
Volumes 50-59 continues the Ivy Leaves value of creating a “fresh, unbounded outlet for the contributors' imaginations.” Aiming to express innermost feelings, these volumes showcase more artwork and photographs than previous editions.
Volumes 40-49 cover some of the most significant events of the 20th Century. Poems and prose about the Moon Landing, Vietnam War, and such events appear throughout the editions.
Volumes 30-39 marked the beginning of a new era of the publication. Originally published as Footnotes in 1950, the journal gained the title Ivy Leaves, credited to Ellen Tillotson in Volume 34.
As described in edition 1, the Orion was the “spontaneous conception of a college life seriously considering itself.” It would be many decades later that publication would be what we know it as today.
