ODE TO THE BEAUTY
OF THE EARTH

Painting scenes of nature, particularly water scenes, allows me to wander into a newly imagined way to see the world. For me, painting these abstracted landscapes is my way of creating a world in my mind that sparks wonder and peace. With each of these paintings, the viewer is brought into a secluded lush environment where they can have a moment to rest the mind as well as excite childlike curiosity. Getting up close and personal in the perspective with some of these paintings the viewer is encouraged to take notice of little details of the landscape they may not get close enough to see in everyday life. I hope these artworks invite the viewer to seek out the beauty in the everyday world around them and be a part of the beautiful world God has graciously created for us.
